TGIF, Keep the Friday Spirit on!!

Be as it may, the end of the week is nigh. Better yet, the end of the week begins. So what plans do we have and what are we looking forward to? As usual, AirKlip will always have your back. At times Friday seems to be a very long day encapsulated with thoughts of rave, meetups and laughing sessions at the very least. As you would have guessed, the AirKlip team just does that. Laugh all day, code all day and enjoy the “Furahi” Day.

I tend to think of Nonini’s song “Furahiday” and I laugh at how it was easy to just skip job to have fun. The fun nowadays is overrated and I believe that fun starts with that feeling in your heart that tells you “Enjoy life!” After days are all bleak and blurry, there is reason enough to enjoy the end of something. The end of something marks the beginning of yet another something. So if your week was horrible, expect something different for this weekend, if your week was wonderful just like mine, then you’d better buckle up for even more wonder, pleasure and fun this weekend.

Forget the rain, forget the cloudy days that makes you wake up at 9am thinking it is still 6am. I bet your boss did not listen to the cock and bull story of how you forgot to set your alarm while we all know that you snoozed it thinking that it was not yet time. I have been there before and so have you. Anyway, for this Friday, I wear a smirk on my face, not because I will skip work like Nonini na Nameless, rather because I have a gut feeling that this day is going to pan out well. If I could send a smile to everyone on the planet right now, I wouldn’t start by making you smile because you probably do not need it more. I would make a monk smile. Yes! He may be far away praying and chanting away, but that is one man who deserves a hell of a Friday.

So as we Thank God It’s a Friday (TGIF), we conjure up the feeling of wellness, goodness and at the very least, a smile on our faces. For whatever reasons you would want to enjoy this day, then share the spirit and live out loud. Check out more on our blog.

8 Simple Ways To Classroom Collaboration

The Collaborative Classroom is a model that honors all teachers and supports all students with intentional, field-tested practices that create safe environments. In Collaborative Classrooms, teachers facilitate an authentic exchange of ideas and children learn to become caring, principled people as well as thoughtful, disciplined learners. Teachers who use the Collaborative Classroom model make an intentional shift from having a classroom where they do the majority of the talking to constructing a learning situation and then facilitating it through student thinking and talking. Teachers are increasingly using digital tools to stay ahead of today’s digitally literate students. Here are eight ways they’re harnessing technology for collaborating with students, both in the classroom and online: 1. Digital Projectors – A LCD projector allows teachers to share digital content with students. The beauty of the digital projector is its versatility—it works with any digital ...

Time flies and welcomes exams.

If ever there was a time to realize that time flies, it’s now. Well, the stores are not doing any of us favor when they brand their polyethene bags with Christmas trees or the mall putting up Christmas lights. Yes, the year is almost coming to a close and this is the only time we can realize that time flies. In January, we were all wondering how the year will punch us right back. Remember trying to come up with some list of things we’d like to change. How many have we achieved so far? Time is given in equal measure and quantity. If ever there was a gift more powerful than time, then all would be in vain. Many sayings have been coined with time. “Time is money”, “give time time”, “time waits for no man” and so many more. They all mean the same. That time is a very important aspect of life and we really need to understand this. In all its measure and wonder, we are still yet to fathom its meaning let alone its discipline. Philosophy aside, this post was dedicated to the ...

We are all in the pursuit of happiness in one way or another whether we realize it or not. Regardless of our situation, we are always looking to find happiness in every little bit of parameters of life whether it is in our relationships, job or family just to mention a few. One of the key components of happiness in life is the ability to have long lasting relationship that make sense and provide us with some sense of feeling of love which can translate into happiness altogether.
