If ever there was a time to realize that time flies, it’s now. Well, the stores are not doing any of us favor when they brand their polyethene bags with Christmas trees or the mall putting up Christmas lights. Yes, the year is almost coming to a close and this is the only time we can realize that time flies. In January, we were all wondering how the year will punch us right back. Remember trying to come up with some list of things we’d like to change. How many have we achieved so far?
Time is given in equal measure and quantity. If ever there was a gift more powerful than time, then all would be in vain. Many sayings have been coined with time. “Time is money”, “give time time”, “time waits for no man” and so many more. They all mean the same. That time is a very important aspect of life and we really need to understand this. In all its measure and wonder, we are still yet to fathom its meaning let alone its discipline.
Philosophy aside, this post was dedicated to the students who are now preparing to undertake their end year exams. One, I bet you never thought this time would come. At the beginning, it all seemed so far away into the distant future and we all had no care in the world. Come on, its campus, if the exams are in the 15th week, we start reading then, to be exact week 15. It’s a tragedy in disguise. A disease which has cropped up into our society such that we tend to always hold that wait until the last minute. Trust me, I do know the kind of pressure last minute brings, but the pleasure is also profound. Regardless, I see this as a slippery slope that usually manifests to other points of life like relationships. Word of advice, don’t leave it late next time.
Two, we are all focused right now such that we cannot afford a laugh, a giggle or even the very least of smiles. An angle of inclination, most common angle theta is observed by most students if not all. Rushing about with backpacks full of books and endless printed notes. It is funny how life changes around campus when the exams are around the corner. Mood changes, the environment changes as well. The sun gives way to the rain and worst of all the library is packed. Good things however, come about. Incessant noisy neighbors are extremely quiet, no booming loud music. The shopkeeper serves you faster. People visit you to borrow notes instead of the usual Fifa game down that lasts 22 hours.
Regardless of how ill prepared you are, we would like to encourage you that the very best is expected of you. This is not just from us, AirKlip rather, your parents, educators, the society and most of all, yourself. You owe it to yourself to succeed. So as time flies, be sure to keep abreast with what you need to be doing. If I ever learned a valuable lesson when I was a youngling in primary school was that discipline is being in the right place at the right time and doing it in the right way. We cannot turn back time but we can always look back to the lessons we have learned.
Regardless of whether you spent your time well in this semester or not, there is no escaping the fact that the exams are nigh. Then all we can do is hope the best for you. Worry not for there is always a reason as to why things happen. Every action is a series of events. A pass is a series of serious attending of classes, completion of assignments, attendance of cats and much more. A fail is a series of serious events one of which we totally have no clue about. For all its worth, we hope that you pass. For all undertaking their exams in the coming weeks, be strong, stay sharp.
