Thinking of building your own computer? You don't have to be Microsoft or Apple to build your own computer. Building your own computer is about assembling the parts of a computer to make your own. Building your own computer is fun and can make you culture your computer to what your needs are. Most people who build their own computers are gamers and designers who prefer having some outstanding qualities for their computers to suit their needs. For gamers, it is the ability to handle large games with ease while for designers, it would be the ability to render graphics and designs quickly.

What parts do you need to build your own computer. ?
The parts you need to build your computer are classified as storage, the Central Processing Unit (CPU), motherboard, graphics, Random Access Memory (RAM), the power supply, optical drives, wireless cards, case, fans, LED lighting and the operating system.

For storage, this is where all your files will be stored. You can choose between solid state and a hard disk. A good hard disk speed is around 7,200 revolutions per minute (RPM). Your CPU is basically the brain of the computer and this determines the speed of your computer. You can choose between AMD and Intel processors depending on your budget and demand for speed.

The mother board houses most of the components of the computer including the processors. You can choose motherboard brands depending on size and the features. The most common brands are ASUS and EVGA. Your graphics dictates how your computer will display images. You can use either AMD, NVIDIA or Intel graphics. 



Your RAM is dependent on how many memory slots your motherboard has and ranges in size from 4GB to 8GB with earlier versions still available.





Your computer power supply is dictated by how much electricity consumption your computer will use. You should have at least a CD drive as one of your optical drives and the wireless card should takes care of your internet. Your case should be able to fit all the components. Lastly, your operating system is very important where you can choose between Windows or Linux. All these parts of a computer are vital in building a good computer cultured to your needs.
