Having to leave what you understood most and trying to figure out a way to start all over again is almost as hard as finding a leprechaun in the rainbow. We figured that it would be a relief to have a new start and reflect on what we learned. The finish line has never seemed so far away. It is really amazing when you think you have made enough of a stride only to realize that you had only made baby steps. At times you would think that the world is against you.
Troubles fly in one after the other regardless of the kind of preparation you think you have done.
Troubles fly in one after the other regardless of the kind of preparation you think you have done.
Talking of troubles, tribulations and all that mess that is thrown to your face and you as all before you, have to handle it regardless of the outcome. It is at times frustrating, disheartening and most of all killer of spirits when you feel you can’t handle what has been thrown at you. So all in all, we at times yearn for that fresh start.
That rejuvenation of mind that assures us that all is well or better yet, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
In as much as they say tribulations last not forever and the day always comes bringing new tidings and probably favor from the Most High, we still have that doubt in our hearts that always pushes a sense of disbelief right after another wave hits you.
Imagine this double whammy, you wake up in the morning relieved that the sun is shining bright like it was added more burning coal and you decide to dress to the occasion. You figure that it is not going to rain, well, the sky is clear and your phone forecast is always on point. Remember you are attending an interview and this would be an opportune time to impress. You head out. Nothing beats your outside smile except for the butterflies in the pit of your stomach.
You reach your destination and sit alongside other interviewees who all look as nervous as you are. Others have caterpillars in the pit of their stomach. Your turn. You enter and as you stare blankly into the expressionless faces of your interviewers, you notice one particular disturbing face. So clear a memory you have that you try to shapeshift into another man.
She is the woman you had laughed at on your way to the interview. She was complaining about how the conductor had refused with her cash and you just laughed it off when the conductor abused her. Karma got the best of you. You lose out on the interview and head home. Just as you are heading home, you get a call from your landlord. It is very unusual for him to call you since you always pay your rent on time.
Your house in on fire. In a bid to hurry to the interview, you left your iron box on after ironing your shirt. Call it bad luck, karma, curse, coincidence whichever suits you all that we know is that at times, life can throw too much at you at an instance. It is hard to weather this storm and you may feel like quitting.
I figured that we all deserve a fresh or new start once in a while. Regardless of the number of times you get hit with troubles, you can always culture your own new start. This tricks the brain that everything is going to be well and relieves you of any doubts, worry and sadness. A new start gives us hope that there is something better coming, something worth calling a start and calling off the end of the troubles.
Ours is a story of a fresh start that is built around family, friends, work, faith, beliefs, principles, relationships and every other thing that affects our lives directly or indirectly. We have seen the potential of having a new start and we embrace the very effect that it brings to the mind, giving it peace, harmony, and tranquility.
